IMPORTANT
From time to time, it may become necessary to have
a late opening, an early dismissal, or to cancel school
entirely for the day. We are very sensitive to the
disruption this causes for parents and students, so
these occasions are kept to a minimum, and always
made with the safety of the students in mind. For
the most part, any alteration of the regular schedule
will be weather related and announced on the radio,
television or on line (See the list below and in the
Student Handbook). On days when the weather is questionable,
please stay tuned to your radio, or feel free to call
the school. Announcements will be made as far in advance
as possible.
When there is an unscheduled early dismissal, we will
make every attempt to reach parents and guardians
by phone. This is one reason that it is very important
you provide the school with current contact information,
and to remember to update us with any changes. In
the event of a National Emergency, we may not be able
to reach you with information regarding irregular
dismissal times. For this reason, please discuss a
plan with your student for the unlikely event they
would return home and cannot get into the house.
We want to assure you that we doubt the situation
will occur, but being prepared is the best way to
assure the safety of our students and your children.
Please do not hesitate to call the building Principal
with any questions or concerns.
